Many famous scientists and philosophers have studies at Cambridge University since it was founded over 800 years ago! We will go on a guided walking tour of some of the colleges and learn something of the history of Cambridge. Enjoy a light cream tea which will be provided at the end of the afternoon.

Stonehenge and Winchester

See first-hand the mysterious prehistoric standing stone circle. In the afternoon a visit to the historic Cathedral City of Winchester with its Great Hall and museums, we will walk into the city down the river from the Hospital of St Cross.

Possible Wales Trip after Easter

07:00 - Pembrokeshire!

17th April to 21st April we plan to travel from Reading to the Malvern Hills, walk and have a break from the journey. Travel on down to Haverford West and go food shopping and eat. Arrive in Marloes to stay in a “Youth Hostel” (dormitories) in the evening Next day, walks and local sightseeing 10 to 15km walking Third day visit “Pertre Iffan” and St Davids (the smallest city in the UK) Next day more local walking including a sunset visit to the deer park and a possible boat trip to Skomer Island. Visit Pembroke on the way home and chill a bit then return to Reading in the late evening. Need to talk to Tony about this if you are interested 16 spaces only must decide by end of February.
